Spijker Holding is a group of marketing and distribution business that operates primarily in the Western European markets. The core activities are focused on the DIY and the food chains. The DIY related activities include security products, switches, lighting, home automation, paint tools, sanitary products and garden related product ranges. The customer base includes mainly all international Do-It-Yourself (DIY) chains and Cash & Carry retail chains. Household Goods for the food channel are sold under the brand names Sorbo and Tristar and include cleaning hardware, pet accessories and small domestic appliances. Spijker is currently implementing an ambitious European growth strategy. The company has approximately 800 employees. In 2008 turnover has reached approx. €300 million from €100 million in 2001.
