Alfa Groep Holding BV ("Alfa Groep"), a national and regional distribution company for unaddressed leaflet and free newspaper distribution, is reinforcing its market position through acquisitions that include Garant Reclameverspreidingen (Hellevoetsluis), RVE (Eindhoven), RVN (Roosendaal), Tip Top Verspreidingen (Cuijk) and TVO Verspreidingen (Enschede). The acquisitions are financed by the new majority shareholder, H2 Equity Partners. Upon the proposed transaction, Alfa Groep will be the second largest player in the market with a turnover of €65 million. Merging the distribution companies allows the group to further strengthen its proposition and the quality of its network and organisation. “This development is a result of our company’s strong growth in recent years and the new market opportunities that have recently emerged. The operational support and strategic expertise of H2 Equity Partners will allow us to integrate and further professionalise our companies. This partnership will enable us to invest in people and resources so that we can serve our customers better and more efficiently,” says Marcel van Dulken, CEO of Alfa Groep. The partnership is subject to approval by the Netherlands Competition Authority. Advisors involved are Vondel Finance, KPMG, Houthoff Buruma and Holland van Gijzen. Alfa Groep is a door-to-door distribution organisation with a nationwide network of its own operations and professional (regional) distribution partners. Alfa Groep distributes unaddressed leaflets and free newspapers with over 25,000 deliverers. H2 Equity Partners is an independent private equity company founded in 1991, headquartered in Amsterdam. H2 focuses on investments in medium-sized companies in the Benelux, Germany and the United Kingdom which can benefit from its in-house operating skills and strategic expertise. H2 has a proven track record of substantially increasing the revenue and profit of its portfolio companies.
