H2 Equity Partners (H2) is an independent private equity firm founded in 1991, headquartered in the Netherlands. H2 focuses on investments in mid-sized companies in the Benelux, Germany and the UK that can benefit from its inhouse operating skills and expertise.
H2 seeks to invest in companies that have a leading position in their industry, that have developed a long-term competitive advantage, and that enjoy significant barriers to entry in their sectors. Industries targeted for investment are broad and diverse, with no particular industry excluded from consideration. Investments have included companies in the following industries: paper and board, steel, health care, media and communication, building products, consumer products, and fashion among others. H2 has invested in more than 20 companies since its inception in 1991, with combined sales in excess of € 1 billion. H2 currently has approximately € 300 million under management.
